1. Use A Powerful Zoom Lens

You’ll definitely be needing a telephoto lens if you want to get good close-up shots of the animals as your safari guides won’t allow you to get too close to them due to safety regulations. I’d recommend a 300mm lens at minimum, though a 400mm one will ensure that you never miss a good close-up opportunity.

2. Bring Multiple Camera Bodies

The animals you see on safari aren’t going to sit down and patiently pose for photo. They’re wild animals, so be mentally prepared to take pictures of moving objects the vast majority of the time. This means that you won’t have the time to change lenses should a photo opportunity come up. Thus, my advice is to bring two camera bodies with two different lenses (I’d suggest one wide angle and one telephoto lens) so you can switch between lenses more efficiently. Another advantage of following this practice is not having to expose your image sensor to the dust and grime of the African climate when changing lenses. A dusty sensor is a real pain to clean and you don’t want to have to tackle such troublesome tasks when you’re on vacation.

3. Bring A Tripod

Most of the time, you’ll be shooting photos from a moving vehicle. Even with a fast shutter speed, blurry pictures are a real possibility and you certainly don’t want to increase the risk of blurry photos by hand-holding your camera. Get a short and sturdy tripod and clamp it between your legs for stability. This way, your photos will turn out sharp and clear.

Assuming you have already a good sense of photographic framing and composition, following these three tips will be enough to help you overcome many of the obstacles facing photographers on African safaris and take wonderful photos you’ll be proud to show your friends and family. Enjoy your safari vacation!

1.     You can’t possibly conduct too much research into your safari package provider or what to expect on safari itself.  Do your homework and be well prepared.

2.     Get vaccinated.  Seriously.  I don’t care how much you hate needles, go to a doctor who is well versed in travel health and take whatever (s)he wants to give you.  Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid and Yellow Fever.  Consider a prophylactic anti-malarial treatment and stock up on Mosquito repellent with DEET.

3.     Pack lightly but appropriately.  You’re not vacationing on the French Riviera and safari is no place for stilettos.  Research what you’ll need and leave everything else at home. 

4.     Drink, drink, drink.  No, I’m not referring to alcohol but water.  Your guides will know what water is safe to drink and what is not but in either case, bottled water is usually plentiful.  Dehydration is among the top complaints of safari guests, which is silly because it is easily avoidable.

5.     Do as you’re told.  Your tour organizers, drivers and guides live this life day in and day out.  They care about your safety – no one wants to lose a tourist on their watch, it’s bad for business.  So listen to and follow their instructions to the letter.  Oh, and never wander off.  Trust me on this one. 

6.     Wild animals are, by definition, wild.  Observe but don’t interact. Never approach or try to feed any untamed animal. Try not to draw attention to yourself lest you end up looking like you’re competing for territory or breeding rights.  Worse yet, you may inadvertently offer yourself up as dinner. 

With adequate preparation and a little common sense your African Safari will likely prove to be the best vacation of your life.

First of all you need to be aware of the different FHA refinance mortgages available to you. The FHA offers two refinancing options. One is a cash-out option and the other is a streamline option. The Cash-out Refinancing Loan

Cash-out refinancing Loans as the name suggests, mean you will get cash out of the remortgaging of your home. They are able to negotiate a refinancing loan that is greater than the amount that they have owing on the property and therefore get the difference in cash.

The Streamline Refinancing Loan

Other Considerations

 During these years, as the Depression era took hold, Sears’ Modern Homes department began to see vast losses in sales and eventually closed its doors.  In 1939, Business Week magazine was quoted as saying, “Sears pulled down the shades and quietly tiptoed from the room.”

With the end of World War II, the modular home category experienced a renewed  boom and continued to evolve. As many troops returned to the United States wanting to start families and buy homes, a skyrocketing demand  for homes took hold that traditional building couldn’t keep up with. This stimulated the market to look for more efficient and low-cost housing solutions. Modular building helped satisfy this need.

As the years have passed, more companies have become involved in producing and improving upon the modular home concept.  The 1990s saw intense periods of growth and these homes stopped being regarded as “Kit Homes”.  They were no longer marketed as build-your-own types of projects, but were delivered to the housing property pre-assembled, after they had been constructed in a controlled factory environment.

Today, while only about 3 percent of all homes are considered modular, according to the National Association of Home Builders, their popularity continues to rise as more options in design and customization, as well as  ‘green’ and energy-efficient choices enter the marketplace.

Az One Reality Check Exercise

On May 16, 2008, after two years of planning, a Reality Check exercise for Central Arizona took place at the Phoenix Convention Center. 270 community members from a wide variety of professions, back- grounds, geographic areas, and perspectives assembled to create a vision for a population that is projected to double by the year 2050.

Regional Visioning Process Launched

Central Arizona faces tremendous challenges as our population grows. Unless the beautiful sunlight gets turned off or Arizona becomes an undesirable place to live for everyone, that growth will keep coming. Our growth is not solely because people are moving into Arizona – one third of our growth is internal and this proportion will increase in the future.

Why this Matters

The goal of AZ One was to facilitate consensus among diverse constituents on how to maintain the quality of life in Central Arizona and implement strategies to build a sustainable future for this rapidly expanding region. AZ One, a Reality Check differs from other visioning exercises in that it is a proven process that leads to the implementation of desired growth practices. One interesting and effective marketing strategy is to come up with samples of the different baby clothing designs and present it to prospective bulk buyers. The potential customer will more likely to request for products samples before making a purchase.
